Arup Borbora is a popular and familiar name to the serious readership. His nonchalant and rational approach towards numerous socio-political issues touching the country and the world is writ large in his writings. An Alumnus of the Delhi School of Economics, the author is a Senior Advocate and reputed lawyer in North-East India. A former elected President of the Gauhati High Court Bar Association for two consecutive terms, the author is also a prolific Human Rights Defender and a writer of repute with several books and hundreds of thought-provoking articles, to his credit. His fearless write-ups and public speeches over the years have earned for him the reputation of an exceptionally brilliant writer and an orator both in Assamese as well as in English.
