After a highly successful stint as a senior journalist with various regional and national media organizations, Abhishek Ranjan Singh formed the Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Research Foundation in New Delhi on November 13, 2019. His profound respect for his inspiration, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia, whose ideas and ideals were instrumental in shaping his vision for society, guided him to establish this organization.

He had studied Dr. Lohia thoroughly as an independent researcher and always felt the urge to preserve the memories of this unsung hero of India’s freedom struggle and spread his ideas among the masses, especially the youth. The foundation is registered under the Indian Trusts Act, of 1882 with registration No. 1216/2019.
Since its inception, the foundation has republished various original and forgotten books authored by Dr. Lohia and his associates. The foundation has been compiling, preserving, and digitizing various lost documents, newspaper clippings, and articles on and by Dr. Lohia and his close associates. The foundation has also published translated editions of many such books including “Action in Goa” and “Nineteen Months in Salazar’s Prison” in Konkani, Marathi, Hindi, and Bengali.“An independent mind is the seed of a free nation.”
